There are 4 ways to play this bingo style game ... as a memory game, matching game or a phonics game.
To successfully read or write, children need to be able to match letters with the sounds they make. The first step is learning to say a word aloud and to identify the letter that makes the first sound in the word.
Matching written letters (graphemes) to the sounds that they can hear is an important pre-reading skill, as children must know the sounds of the letters when they attempt to decode (read) words.
With this versatile game, the children are learning lots of phonological awareness skills through play.
The game uses lots of high frequency words, which is also great to help boost little ones vocabulary.
